Carpet / Carpet Tile

What is Carpet/Carpet Tile Flooring?

Carpet is a type of flooring made from woven or tufted fibers. Carpet tiles, also known as carpet squares, are individual tiles that can be arranged in various patterns to create a carpeted surface. They are typically made from synthetic materials such as nylon or polypropylene, and are often used in commercial or high-traffic areas.

Carpet and carpet tiles come in a range of sizes, with the most common being 12 inches by 12 inches for carpet tiles, and 12 feet wide for roll carpet. Standard carpet roll widths are 12′, 15′ and 17′ feet. The length of carpet roll is usually sold in linear feet or yards. Carpet tiles are usually sold by the sqaure foot. Some carpet tiles can be cut to fit specific areas, making them a versatile option for customizing the size and layout of a flooring space.

Carpet is a favorite flooring option for homeowners, especially in bedrooms. It comes in a variety of colors, materials and textures. Carpet technology has improved over the years, and modern carpets have stain-resistant qualities. It’s also the most cost-effective flooring option on the market.

Carpet installation varies in price, depending on the type of material and thickness of the carpet padding. The average cost of installing carpet ranges from $2 to $10 per square foot.
